Workshop Recap: Cut Paper Card and Plant Party!
Well! I have my very first workshop under my belt!
And it went so well! Thank to those who came out to craft, snack and make some new friends. Community and collaboration are a big part of my values at Oh Pink! After all you need people to party! I have such a great place to host, there is plenty of space and it’s just so darn cute!
As busy working people we can spend a crazy amount of hours staring at a screen, so I think more and more we crave to just slow down for a second, put our phones down, meet someone new and make a bit of crafty mess. Each person made three cards each with cut paper inspired by our favorite plants and flowers and then got to take home a little plant of their own from Urban Planting Cleveland.
What I really love is that even though we all had the same prompt or theme in terms of flowers and plants everyone’s interpretation was SO different. We all had our own vision or someone in mind when we were making these. The great thing about cut paper is literally everything looks good, that’s just the nature of it! Even if you claim that you’re not creative or crafty I promise you that you can come up with your own masterpiece! Sending a card is already so special, so hand making one is even more sentimental! Plus, let’s be the honest, it’s the thought that counts in the end.
This is definitely going to be one of those workshops I repeat again, with some different themes and prompts so it’s a little bit different. I hope to see you at one of those!
